RShield provides an additional layer of protection for RPDs by detecting screen capture attempts and applying security controls configured by the sender.
Note: Make sure RShield is enabled in the RDocs settings before using the feature.
Configuring RShield
RShield provides several security controls that you can configure to protect an RPD while it is being viewed by a recipient.
Focus Protection
Focus Protection automatically blurs the document when the reader leaves the document window or switches to another application.
To enable it, turn on the corresponding toggle.
When enabled, you can also configure the following options:
- View Only in Full Screen: When checked, it requires the recipient to view the RPD in Full Screen mode.
- Focus off Limit: When checked, it allows you to sets the maximum number of times the recipient can leave Full Screen mode before the configured action is triggered.
- When Limit is Reached: Determines what happens when the focus-loss limit is reached. Select End Session to end the recipient's current session, or Re-authenticate to require the recipient to authenticate again before continuing to view the RPD.
Capture Detection
Capture Detection detects when the recipient takes a screenshot of the document, allowing you to take action in response.
Once a screenshot is detected, you can specify what behavior is triggered:
- Ban Reader: Prevents the recipient from continuing to access the RPD after a screenshot is detected.
- Notify Sender: Sends an email notification to the sender when a screenshot is detected.
