RMail offers several features to ensure the security and effective management of your attachments.

Convert to PDF
By selecting the Convert to PDF feature, RMail will convert any Microsoft Office attachments to PDF format with one click en-route.
1. Compose an email and attach a document.
2. Click on the Send Registered button to open the features panel.
3. On the Attachments section select which documents you would like to convert to PDF.
4. Click on the Send button
The attachment in the Sent Items folder remains in the native format.
The recipient will receive the attachment as a PDF.

Clean hidden metadata from Ms Office files
This option removes metadata from Microsoft Office attachments en-route to reduce potential exposure to hidden information saved in the properties of the file.
Metadata is a summary of basic information about data, like a document or spreadsheet, which can make finding and working with the instances of data easier. An example of basic document metadata is author, date created and date modified and file size. Having the ability to filter through that metadata makes it much easier for someone to locate a specific document.
1. Compose an email and attach the documents.
2. Click on the Send Registered button to open the features panel.
3. On the Attachments section check the Clean hidden meta-data from Office Files option box
4. Click on the Send button
Note: The attachments in the Sent Items folder retain the documents' metadata.
Zip compress attachments
The Zip compress attachments feature will compress attachments en-route to reduce the file size of the attachments which the recipient receives in their inbox. This service is not compatible with encryption due to an Adobe Reader security setting.
1. Compose an email and attach the documents.
2. Click on the Send Registered button to open the features panel.
3. On the Attachments section check the Zip Compress option box.
4. Click on the Send button.
Note: The attachments in the Sent Items folder are not Zip compressed.
