If the recipient of an RSign signature request does not wish to sign, or cannot sign for whatever reason, they have the ability to decline to sign the document as well as provide a reason for declining.
Note: The Decline option will be visible unless the setting Disable Decline option on Signers Page is enabled.
How to decline a signature request
1. Click on the View & sign document button located in the signature request email. The signing interface will open in a new web browser tab.
2. Click on the Decline button.
3. Enter a reason for declining the signature request. Then, press the green checkmark icon.
Note: The available declination reasons will depend on the customer's configuration.
The envelope sender will be notified of the signature declination, and the reason for the decline will be visible in the envelope details.
