If you receive an RSign signature request, you have the ability to delegate signing the document to another person, either because you do not have the signing authority, or the request may have been sent to a catch-all inbox and needs to be directed to a more specific person, among other possible reasons.
Note: The Change Signer option will be visible unless the setting Disable Change Signer on Signers Page is enabled.
To delegate or change signers, follow these steps:
1. Click on the View & sign document button in the signature request email. You will be directed to the RSign signing interface.
2. Click on in Change signer button located in the top control bar.
A window will pop open for you to input who to delegate the signature request to. You may also add comments or the reason for changing signers and choose if they would like to receive a copy of the signed document.
Note: The checkbox will not be available when the setting Attach Signed PDF for these Recipients is set to Sender Only and No Email to Recipient.
Make sure you click on the green checkmark icon to save changes. You will be directed to a confirmation page.
An email will then be sent to the new sender to let them know the document was delegated to a new signer.
The new signer will receive the invitation email to sign the document.
After the document is signed, the sender and the new signer will receive the final signed document.
Note: This experience may vary based on the sender's configuration on who should receive the signed document.
The signature certificate on the signed document will contain the audit trail of the signed document.
