Try RMail PRE-Crime Services – The RMail app for Microsoft 365 gives Mac OS users three different ways to add RMail features to their outgoing Outlook mail.
- RMail app for Outlook Online (accessible from the desktop or in browser)
- RMail app for Outlook with Microsoft Exchange (installs into desktop email compose window)
- RMail Gateway (automatic encryption of email based on message content or other policies)
RMail for Outlook Online
If you use a Mac and are using Office 365 Outlook Online, Outlook On the Web, Outlook.com, Hotmail.com and even if you are using a desktop version of the Outlook app you can log-in to the Outlook on-line version (your Outlook desktop email content is often automatically synced to show the same email on your desktop and in the Outlook Online interface).
Follow these instructions on how to install RMail app for Outlook Office 365 for Mac which provide a shortcut to the Office 365 for Mac AppSource Add-In page. Follow the installation instructions.

Outlook Online - Outlook.live is the free version.
Outlook Online - Outlook.office is the paid version with Office 365
RMail app for Outlook with Microsoft Exchange Server
To install the RMail add-in, follow instructions on RMail app for Outlook Office 365 for Mac which provide a shortcut to the Office 365 for Mac AppSource Add-In page. Follow the installation instructions. When prompted to sign in to your Microsoft Account, you must use the same email address as the one you have set up in the Office 365 Microsoft Exchange account that you use with Outlook. This is important as you may have different log-in email addresses for different Microsoft accounts, so if you experience any issues, focus on ensuring you have the right account association.
If (and only if) you have a Microsoft Exchange account set up in your Outlook/Office 365 for Mac, and you click on the Exchange Inbox, then when you select the New Email button there will be a new RMail option in the top menu bar that says Add RMail Feature. You must make sure to add a recipient email address in the TO field before clicking and selecting your RMail Features (this sequence is a requirement).
1. Compose a new email and enter a recipient in the TO field.
2. Click on Add RMail Features.
3. Select features and then Confirm Selection.
4. Proof read or finish composing your email and select Send.
Important Note: You must follow the steps outlined above add your email address to the TO: field BEFORE you click on Add RMail Features, otherwise the feature is not added to the particular email.
RMail Gateway for Microsoft Exchange Server
Another option for Mac users is to use a smart-host connection from your email server to RMail directly (to RMail Gateway) and configure rules at RMail to automatically encrypt email if the message contains certain content, or if certain information is typed in the subject of an email to trigger the message to be sent encrypted (or as a Registered Email message; or for recipient e-signature). This requires your Microsoft company/account administrator to set up with RMail and requires at least five RMail users. To learn more contact your sales or customer success representative.
