The RSign integration with Zapier allows users to create automated workflows, or Zaps, integrating RSign with the 7,000+ apps on the Zapier Platform. This streamlines tasks related to document signing and e-signature requests management, without requiring coding skills.

Pre-requisites
To use RSign in Zapier, you will need:
- Active RSign login credentials and an appropriate RSign user plan.
- Access to the RSign APIs and your company’s unique Reference Key. (If you don’t have your Reference Key, please contact your RPost representative.)
- An active Zapier account with proper access to the capabilities required by your integration.
Note: Zapier users are responsible for their own Zapier plans and billing.
Actions supported in the RSign – Zapier integration
The RSign integration with Zapier allows you to set up various actions to send e-signature requests and manage them in your own automated workflows, among other actions. Here are the currently available actions you can set up with RSign in Zapier:
- Send Envelope Using a Template: Sends an eSignature request to selected recipients using the selected RSign Template. Check this article to learn how to use RSign Templates.
- Send Envelope Using a Rule: Sends an eSignature request to selected recipients using the selected RSign Rule. Check this article to learn how to use RSign Rules.
- Initialize Envelope: Initializes an Envelope on the first or second step of the Envelope preparation process. It returns an RSign Web URL to complete the sending process. Read this article to explore the steps involved in the preparation process and determine which one best suits your needs.
- Initialize Envelope Using a Template: Initializes an Envelope using a Template on the first or second step of the Envelope preparation process. It returns an RSign Web URL to complete the sending process.
- Initialize Envelope Using a Rule: Initializes an Envelope using a Rule on the first or second step of the Envelope preparation process. It returns an RSign Web URL to complete the sending process.
- Retrieve Template Information: Retrieves the information about a Template or Rule based on its Code. Among the information returned is the Template name, documents and roles defined when creating that template on RSign Web.
- Retrieve Envelope Status: Retrieves the status of an envelope based on its Envelope Code.
- Retrieve Envelope Documents: Retrieves the documents part of an envelope based on its Envelope Code. It can retrieve the original documents and/or the final signed documents.
Note: The RSign SMS feature is not supported at the moment.
How to create Zaps with RSign
To start creating Zaps with RSign in Zapier, follow these steps:
1. In Zapier, click on Zaps:
2. Then, click on the + Create button and on New Zap to create a new Zap:
Choose a Trigger to start your Zap, and then click on the Action to set up RSign for the action step:
3. In the search bar, type RSign and select the latest version of the RSign app:
4. Click on the Action event input and select the action you want to use for the Zap from the list of available actions:
5. Customize your action settings as needed, test the Zap, and click Publish to activate it.
How to use RSign webhooks in Zapier
To use RSign webhooks in Zapier as a trigger for your Zaps, follow these steps:
1. Create a Zap in Zapier and click on the Trigger step. Then, select Webhooks by Zapier:
2. Then, click on the Trigger event, selecting either Catch Hook or Catch Raw Hook based on your needs.
3. Configure the trigger as needed, and Zapier will generate a unique webhook URL for your Zap. Copy the generated URL.
4. Go to RSign and enter the Zapier-generated URL in the URL field of your RSign webhook settings.
