Deciding which settings should apply, and who they should apply to, may become a tricky business. For that reason, RPortal gives you the option to decide whether all or some settings should apply company-wide, to some users in particular, or whether users can configure their own settings in the corresponding app.

Accessing company settings
To view and configure your company settings, follow the next steps:
1. Log into RPortal.
2. Access the Company Accounts module.
3. Click on the Settings option from the top navigation bar. By default you will access your company settings.

Accessing user settings
If you want to change settings for just some users in your account, follow these steps to access the user settings:
1. Log into RPortal.
2. Access the Company Accounts module.
3. Click on the Settings option from the top navigation bar. By default you will access your company settings.
4. Click on the Users option.
5. Look for the user whose settings you wish to change and click on their user name.
Tip: Use the Search box to easily find the corresponding user.

Yes, No, Set by App options
As described, you can adjust settings both at company and user levels. So, if company and user settings are configured differently, how do I know which are the effective settings? It's easy! Just continue reading to learn the general rules and which settings prevail in each scenario.
General rules:
- Whenever dealing with settings that can only be adjusted in RPortal and not in the Outlook plugin: see table below:

- Whenever dealing with settings that can be adjusted both, in RPortal and in the Outlook plugin, whatever is defined in RPortal will prevail over what is defined in the Outlook plugin, unless the setting in RPortal is defined as Set by App. See table below:
