This article describes every setting found in the Storage tab:
- Store signed PDF
- Store original document
- Store signature certificate

Store signed PDF
The Store signed PDF setting provides the ability to store signed documents as a PDF within the Envelopes page.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, a PDF copy of the signed and completed documents will be saved in the Envelopes page.
- If N (disabled) is selected, no copy of the signed and completed documents will be saved in the Envelopes page.
How to download the signed PDF
To download the signed PDF, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the more actions options.
3. To download the signed PDF, click on the Contracts download icon.
Store original document
The Store original document setting provides the ability to store the original documents used in as part of a signature request in the Envelopes page.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, the original document uploaded to the envelope will be stored.
- If N (disabled) is selected, the original document uploaded to the envelope will not be stored.
How to download the original document
To download the original document, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the more actions options.
3. To download the original document, click on the Original document download icon.
Store signature certificate
The Store signature certificate setting provides the ability to store signature certificates of the sent and completed signature requests within the Envelopes page.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, the signature certificate will be stored.
- If N (disabled) is selected, the signature certificate will not be stored.
How to download the stored signature certificate
To download the stored signature certificate, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the more actions options.
3. To download the stored signature certificate, click on the Signature certificate download icon.
Store email body
The Store email body setting provides the ability to store and download the email body of sent envelopes. The stored email body is accessed in the Envelopes page inside the expanded envelope details section.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, the email body will be stored.
- If N (disabled) is selected, the email body will not be stored.
How to view the stored email body
To view the stored email body, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the more actions options.
3. To view the stored email body, click on the Email body eye icon.
Allow users to delete signed contracts
The Allow users to delete signed contracts setting provides the ability to delete signed documents from the Envelopes page. This can be used when a copy of a signed document is no longer needed.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, signed documents can be deleted in the corresponding envelope details section.
- If N (disabled) is selected, signed documents cannot be deleted in the corresponding envelope details section.
How to delete signed contracts
To delete signed documents, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the more actions options.
3. To delete signed documents, click on the Contracts trash icon.
Allow users to delete email body
The Allow users to delete email body setting provides the ability to delete the email body of sent envelopes in the Envelopes page. Once an email body is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, the trash icon is visible to allow the deletion of the email body.
- If N (disabled) is selected, the trash icon is not visible to prevent the deletion of the email body from happening.
How to delete the email body
To delete the email body, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the More Actions options.
3. To delete the email body, click on the Email body trash icon.
Allow users to delete original documents
The Allow users to delete original documents setting provides the ability to delete the original documents sent for signature from the Envelopes page. Once they are deleted, they cannot be recovered.
- If Y (enabled) is selected, the trash icon is visible to allow the deletion of the original documents.
- If N (disabled) is selected, the trash icon is not visible to prevent the deletion of the original documents from happening.
How to delete the original documents
To delete the original documents, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Envelopes option from the top navigation bar.
2. Look for the corresponding envelope, click on envelope expander to view the envelope data, and next, click on the green envelope icon to view the envelope actions. Select the More Actions options.
3. To delete the original documents, click on the Original document trash icon.
