A: RPD™ stands for Rights Protected Document™ and it’s a file construct patented by RPost where the security and controls that the document originator prescribes are built into the file itself. The RPD™ displays to readers as an .HTML file, which can be opened in any browser or .html file viewer.
The RPD™ file construct allows document originators to control document access, manage content sharing, restrict views by location, and even kill content entirely, all after the send.
Q: What is the maximum number of recipients that can be added per transaction?
A: You can include up to 99 recipients per transaction. This limit applies regardless of whether you add recipients manually or use the Import readers feature. If you try to include more than 99 recipients, an error will occur.
Q: Do readers need special software to open an RPD™?
A: No. RPD™ is received as an HTML file that can be opened in all major web browsers.
Q: Do readers need to create an account to open an RPD™?
A: No. Readers are not required to have an RDocs™ account to open an RPD™.
Q: Where is the file stored?
A: The RPD™ file is self-contained, meaning that all the data is stored in the file itself. RPost does not keep a copy of the original document nor the converted RPD™, nor there is any document data stored in any third-party server.
Q: How long are RPDs™ available for opening?
A: For as long as the owner prescribes.
Q: How to reset my password
A: In the login page, press Forgot Password, enter your email address and press Request Reset Link. Look in your email inbox for an email with a link to reset the RDocs™ password.
